So last night I got some time to try out GTI Club + while downloading the demo for Skate 2.
So today, I talked about this game at work with my co-worker and he said the first game was pretty good so I was even more excited to give this a try after work. The demo offers the single player as well as a party demo which allows you go party together with up to 3 other players (offline not online) which I didn’t get a chance to try since I only have one controller (still!) and I couldn’t call any of my friends right at that moment. But after playing the single player, This MIGHT just be the first skateboard game I will purchase!
I also want to point out that the demo is time based, you can extend the time by performing tricks to earn more points. Before you actually go out there and start boarding you get to customize your character. You can customize from a wide range of features like gender, hair type/color, eye color, facial hair etc. The customization can easily drain 30 minutes of your game time if you go crazy with your character. You also start off with $300 which is used to purchase different clothes or skateboard, which I didn’t. Finally you get to choose your stance, goofy means your right foot in front and regular means left foot in front. I’m a regular, just like in snowboarding.
Once you are done with your character, you will start off in the neighborhood. Similar to the popular GTA 4, Skate 2 has a “sand box” style world and you can skateboard/move freely within the neighborhood. Then again you can’t really do that in this demo since you only have a few minutes, unless you start performing tricks and earn points in order to extend the timer.
Honestly as a first time Skate player, I had some trouble trying to memorize all the controls because there are quite a few to remember. But in time you will get used to the controls. Since the demo is time based, you don’t really have too much time to test out the controls and each “trick”. During the game, you have to jump across a gap which you have to first pick up speed, then pull the right analog stick back and then forward to make your character jump. The whole process was harder than I thought. If you fail, the tips screen will play and explain to you how to do execute jump properly. The tips screen is great, for the first time because the explanation is very clear combined with demonstration. But every time you miss the jump, you are forced to see the same screen over and over again until you make it across. Very annoying!

With all the advancements in technology, video games and video gaming systems have changed over the past couple of decades. In fact, if children today were given the very first video gaming system that hit the market they would most definitely think that it was a dinosaur.
The graphics of these new video games are so intense that gamers have a very hard time pulling themselves away their video gaming system when they begin playing a new video game. These video gaming systems available today are the best that have ever been on the market, which explains why they are so popular around the entire world as well as the video games that go with them. Being able to keep up with the technological advancements does mean being able to have the money to do so, especially since about every two years a new video gaming system will hit the market. However, this does not seem to bother those intense video gamers.
Still, there are those individuals that are simply stuck in their ways and do not mind sticking with their old video gaming systems. Most individuals, however, prefer to purchase the new video gaming system, especially if they have children, which normally will hit the market right before the end of the year so that it will be available to be on the Christmas list of every child in the world. The advancements that have been made in the video gaming industry have been truly incredible, especially if you take into consideration what video games looked like less than ten years ago.
Individuals have been known to stand in extremely long lines to get their hands on one on the new video gaming systems when they hit the market. Then when an extremely popular video game is suppose to hit the market, gamers will pay in advance for an opportunity to one of the first ones to get their hands on one. With the release of each new video gaming system comes along with it brand new astounding features that gamers know they can not go wrong.

A video game based on the Star Wars movie was released back in April 2005. It had some few changes when it was rendered into a video game, the most apparent of them being that it was made of the ever-popular building block toy—Lego. The game was made to be child-friendly but is still somehow enjoyable for adults to play.
And now, its developers have come up with the sequel to this game. This is an action/adventure game that is reminiscent of the movie from which it was based on. The action is a full combination of foot levels and opportunities to ride vehicles such as Millenium Falcon, AT-ST walkers, and speederbikes.
There are two main modes of play for this game: Story and Free Play. In the Story mode, one or two players can play through the entire gaming adventure as characters from the movie. Meanwhile, any levels you have competed in can be saved automatically so you can come back to them during Free Play. If you are in the middle of the game, and someone wants to join in, it is possible. All you have to do is plug in a controller and push the start button, and you and your friend can enjoy the game together.
You start the game in Mos Eisley Cantina, which also serves as the central hub for all the levels. There are also three lounges labeled IV, V and VI, where you access the levels. You start off with the first level of episode IV available, and once you have completed that more levels will be opened.
If there is something lacking in this particular title it is that it does not allow online play. It would be interesting to see an online match of Lego-ized characters, but this game promises so much action that this is not really seen as liability. Meanwhile, the shorter loading times for the game is a really good thing as you do not waste so much of your time waiting between levels.
As characters have infinite lives, the difficulty level is pretty much gone in this game. If your character gets killed, it will eventually reappear later on and you would only have earned some penalty in the process.
The controls for this game is simple, requiring only single buttons to make different moves such as attack, to unlock special abilities, switching between characters and jumping. However, other times you need a specific control for your character to do certain things. If you want to switch into a particular character in the middle of a game, simply face that character and press the triangle button.
